Things to do:

One of Liverpool’s newest venues, the Capstone Theatre is part of Liverpool Hope University and stages theatre, music and all sorts of interesting stuff.

The Capstone is acoustically excellent, boasting a Steinway D Grand Piano, and stages touring productions and acts and has carved out a clever niche for offbeat but high-profile music acts. Courtney Pine, Kathryn Williams, Portico Quartet, Harold Budd, The Necks, Arthur Jeffes, Jah Wobble and King Creosote have all played at the theatre since it reopened in 2010. It regularly hosts music and dance events for Liverpool’s Milapfest – a celebration of South Asian arts.

The Capstone’s situated in Everton, so isn’t necessarily within walking distance of the city centre, but it’s a short cab ride away.
