Things to do:

The city’s first boutique hotel is still streets ahead of the rest. Attentive service, good sized rooms (with crisp Frette linens, oak floors, high-end entertainment systems, Arne Jacobsen telephones and drench showers complete with REN toiletries).

Sneaky views over the city’s rooftops take in the cathedrals and bustle of Hardman Street. Despite its recent extension (into the old School for the Deaf), the hotel still feels boutiquey and intimate.

Excellent restaurant (London Carriage Works – one of the city’s best) and buzzing basement piano bar. Recommended. Late deals from £75 pppn (including generous breakfast).
