Things to do:

This smallish exhibition space is actually a disused railway station (it’s not hard to tell – it’s still on the platform) and is home to a range of installations, performances, exhibitions and events focusing on the city (and Northwest’s) most exciting emerging talent: it’s also home to the excellent Liverpool Art Prize every year.

Their ‘Edge Hill Archive’ is a train-spotter’s dream – unearthing the area’s fascinating rail history (it’s on the spot where the world’s first passenger train service, to Manchester, departed). Idiosyncratic and refreshing.

Free, disabled access, small cafe.
