Things to do:

Tapas gets a kick up the backside with Neon Jamon, am industrial-themed South Liverpool eaterie that recalls the rustic vibe of Catalan bodega with a modernist twist.

Lunches during the week provide two dishes for six quid and there are reasonable prices for platters of Iberican meats and Spanish cheeses, alongside favourites such as Albondigas, ham croquettes, black pudding, squid and ribs. If you have a sweet tooth, Neon Jamon does churros too.

Drinks aren’t neglected at Neon Jamon – there’s a wide range of Spanish sherries, brandies and wines. Needless to say there are a few Cavas to choose from too – plus Estrella on draft. More recently it’s been joined by a sister outlet on Berry Street.
