Things to do:

Ringed by handsome Victorian villas, Newsham Park is a little green oasis in the heart of suburbia.

With its cast iron bandstand, its genteel lodgings (the Grade 2 listed Newsham House, where Queen Victoria once stayed, is now used as Judges’ houses) its fishing lake and kiddies’ playing fields, this is a well-loved community park.

Maybe that’s why the Friends of Newsham Park can usually be seen, out and about, tending their little slice of paradise.
