Perhaps the best pub in Liverpool, and probably one of the most famous, The Baltic Fleet has a long heritage of serving thirsty sailors a selection of fine ales and good, honest food.
Nowadays the clientele may not be sailors, but the pub retains a naval character. Look at its prow from the front and it’s clear what this pub was built to resemble. Drop in on one of the irregular sea shanty nights and the connection is more evident.
The real highlight of the Baltic Fleet is, however, the excellent selection of ales, many of which are brewed underneath the pub under the Wapping Brewery tag.
There’s a good ‘scouse’ – a Liverpool meat stew – regular entertainment and irregular beer festivals to boot.
